Gaur Plain is a stage in both versions of Super Smash Bros. 4 from Xenoblade Chronicles.

Overview

There are two main rock platforms on top of each side of the stage with walk-off edges, with smaller platforms below. The center of the stage is mostly empty, with a short gap between the top platforms and a wider gap between the lower platforms. The stage also has a day/night cycle.

At the end of Shulk's reveal trailer, Metal Face is hinted to play some role in the game, presumed to be in connection to this stage. Nevertheless, Metal Face does not appear in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS in any capacity, meaning that his presence in the game, if any, will seemingly be exclusive to the Wii U version.

Origin

Gaur Plain originates from Xenoblade Chronicles. It is a location within the greater Bionis' Leg area. Shulk and his friend Reyn traverse this area to get to the Bionis' Head. The gigantic figure seen in the distance is the Mechonis, another location in the game.
