Kuwait
Kuwait is a Middle Eastern Smash region that encompasses the country of the same name. It borders only two countries, with Saudi Arabia being the only bordering country with a notable Smash scene. Tournament activity takes place in Kuwait's capital city, Kuwait City. In addition, due to its border with Saudi Arabia, the two regions often cross over with each other.
Kuwait's first dive into competitive-Smash took place at a Brawl tournament in 2010; the event has been lost to time but reportedly featured 48 entrants and was won by a Snake player named Qamberco. However, the event's organizers refused to host any more Smash games afterwards, claiming they wanted to focus on "actual" fighting games. As such, the Smash scene became dormant until around 2014, where the tournament series 5ashoom began hosting small Brawl and Project M events. Despite the relatively small scene during this time, the tournament series eventually held Major 5ashoom 2014, an event that featured over 30 players for each game and invited Canadian player V115. The event's success gave the scene confidence in its survivability, and a Smash crew, Super Smash Kuwaiti Bros., was later formed to organize Kuwaiti events.
Though the scene remained small for the rest of the year, it received a boost during Smash 4, especially as the game was added to the lineup for the Kuwait Battle Royale (KBR). Since then, the scene has been considered one of the strongest in the Middle East, with many successful players coming out of Kuwait. The first was Demna, the best Kuwaiti player in Brawl and the first year of Smash 4, who notably placed 13th at the international Brawl event Super Smash Con 2015. In addition, Madara and Fairess both found great success at events in Saudi Arabia, while XF0 notably upset Mr.R at Nemesis 2017. Their strength during this time was notably showcased at Desert Knights events, particularly when they won the crew battle at Desert Knights 2 and had 3 of their players place in the top 4 at Desert Knights 4, with Grand Finals being a match between two Kuwaiti players. Though Saudi Arabia eventually cemented themselves as the strongest region in Ultimate and KBR eventually dropped Smash, Kuwaiti remained a competitive region, with veterans such as XF0 and Fairess and newcomers such as Divine performing well throughout the Middle East.

In addition to these events, a Brawl event in 2010 reportedly featured 48 entrants, which would place it as the tenth-largest Kuwaiti event of all time. As such, this event is not included on this list due to a lack of concrete verifiability.
