East Mexico is a Mexican Smash region that encompasses the Mexican states Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and Veracruz. The region borders the Northeast Mexico state Tamaulipas to the north; the North Central Mexico states Querétaro and San Luis Potosí and Central Mexico to the west, and the South Mexico states Chiapas, Guerrero, Morelos, and Oaxaca to the south.
Tournament activity in the region primarily takes place in Puebla, specifically Puebla City and its surrounding area. This state was the original home of the S Factor series, which ran in the region from its first iteration in 2013 to its ninth iteration in 2022. In addition, Puebla is the home state of Skyjay, who was one of the greatest Mexican players in Ultimate and as such was East Mexico's most recognizable player. Outside of Smash Factor, however, tournament activity is relatively small, though the region has nevertheless seen several other Smashers succeed at large Mexican events.
