Australia is a country and continent located in the Oceania region of the world. Due to being in relatively close proximity to several south Asian countries and other Oceanic nations and territories, frequent crossover happens between them, particularly with New Zealand. For competitive Smash purposes, it is further split into 8 regions, each corresponding to the states and territories:
