Map of The Bahamas

The Bahamas is a Caribbean Smash region that encompasses the country of the same name. While the region comprises over 3,000 islands, the majority of tournaments take place on the main island, New Providence, in the capital, Nassau. Over 70% of the population lives on the main island, while the remaining islands are colloquially known as the "family islands."

The scene was started in 2006 by abcool, and the region saw its first iteration of the Bahamian Power Rankings for Super Smash Bros. Melee prior to 2010. While the scene has a long history, it remains among the smallest active smash scenes, with its events typically having fewer than twenty entrants.

While limited, the region would see some cross-play early on with the United States, particularly Florida. Bahamians would attend some of the largest events at the time, such as Zero Challenge 3, Pound 2, and Apex 2010. Cross-play in the modern era remains similar, with players primarily attending majors, especially CEO.

The scene would see some growth in 2014 with the start of the BTVI Local Tournament Series, with further expansion into other venues in 2015. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, would see new talent develop, including players like FRauDFish, LynardKiller, conbeef, and NOGGIE. FRauDFish is the most accomplished player out of region, having won the Trinidad and Tobago event, The Team Salty Fish Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament 2019, and having placed in the top 24 of a C-tier in Mexico, Warlock's Secret Village.
