Bowser is a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. mod Smash Remix. He was added into the mod in its v0.9.4 release on September 6, 2020 alongside his boss character Giga Bowser.
Attributes[edit]
Bowser repurposes his computer-generated roars from games such as Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64. His model is also based on his model from Mario Party 3. His moveset combines elements from his Melee and Smash 4 portrayals, using some more bestial attacks from the former but humanlike non-attack animations from the latter.

Idle poses[edit]
Victory poses[edit]
- Does his evil laughter from Super Mario 64 with both his arms out before stomping forward and looking to the side.
- Spins in his shell and then stops to pop out of his shell, turns back, and roars at the camera. (CSS animation)
- Jumps up and down to the left and right before falling on his side and striking a pose. References to his "Bowser Space" animation in Mario Party 3.
Techniques[edit]
Flame cancelling[edit]
Similar to Flame cancelling in Melee, flame cancelling in Remix is performed by using flame breath before landing to cancel the animation of flame breath with the landing animation, significantly reducing the number of frames the move is out for and increasing the versatility of the move by making it a great approach option and even a combo tool.
In Remix Modes[edit]
Remix 1P Mode[edit]
Bowser can appear as an ordinary opponent, giant opponent, or as a multi-man team, where he is fought on Bowser's Stadium or Bowser's Keep. He can also appear in Stage 4 as a team with Donkey Kong called "Double Trouble", where they are fought on Bowser's Stadium or Bowser's Keep.
All-Star Mode[edit]
In All-Star Mode, Bowser and his allies can appear on Bowser's Stadium or Bowser's Keep.
Profile[edit]
Bowser, AKA King Koopa, has devised many plots to take over Mushroom Kingdom. At every turn, Mario has foiled his plans and restored peace to the lands.
Despite an alliance with Mario and Peach to recover the Seven Stars, Bowser returned to his evil ways, infiltrating Peach's Castle and holding the princess hostage.
Works:
- Super Mario Bros. (NES)
- Super Mario RPG (SNES)
- Mario Golf (N64)
Alternate costumes[edit]
- Default: Based on his appearance in Mario Party.
- Red: Based on his "left color" color in Mario Golf.
- Blue: Based on Bowser's original artwork for Super Mario Bros.
- Black: Based on his black palette from Melee.
- Green: Based on Bowser's appearance in Super Mario World.
