Introduction tagline

Marth is a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. mod Smash Remix. He was added into the mod in its v1.0.0 release on September 19, 2021.

Marth's voice clips consist of archived audio from Super Smash Bros. Melee provided by Hikaru Midorikawa.

Attributes[edit]

Marth is a character who goes into the swordsman type. He has very good movement, as well as strong KO moves in his up and forward smash. His recovery also is decent, with Dancing Blade being able to be used a lot in the air for air stalling, and Dolphin Slash being fast. Dolphin Slash also recieved a sweetspot, making it a decent option for edgeguarding. Dancing Blade is now great for edgeguarding, with its strong hit providing good knockback. Marth also has great combo potential, as his combo starters, like his up throw, give good knockback, but not enough to KO at low percentages. Finally, Marth's down air gives him even more edgeguarding potential, as it works as a spike. However, Marth is not immune to weaknesses. His recovery, while far distance traveling, is still predictable, and he lacks any far range attacks, meaning characters like Conker and Goemon can zone him out.

Trivia[edit]

  • In v1.5.0, Marth's profile incorrectly stated that Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo was released on the Famicom. This was corrected in v2.0.0.
  • Marth's intro tagline "Marth Takes His Turn!!!" is a reference to the Fire Emblem series' origins of being a turn-based JRPG.
  • As mentioned by Fray, Marth's Shield Breaker was fully finished and implemented into the game, but ultimately the team decided Dancing Blade was more important to keep on Marth's moveset.
