Battle of BC 8 was a Super Smash Bros. Melee major and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate superregional held in Vancouver, British Columbia from June 5th-7th, 2026.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
Unlike previous years, where Battle of BC was considered a solid major or supermajor, this year's event saw less entrants and top-level talent, with only 3 Japanese players featured as non-North American talent. Head organizer Dhir attributed the smaller size to a delay in approving the tournament's Ultimate license, top players requesting tough accommodations, and the effects of real life events, such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2026 Iran war.[1] Following the disqualifications of several notable players, such as Jahzz0 and ShinyMark, the event fell below A tier on the UltRank Half Year 2026, making this the first Battle of BC event since the 3rd iteration in 2019 to not be a major.
