The Bytan is an enemy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary mode. It multiplies quickly, forcing the player to destroy it quickly before it gets out of hand. They look like differently-colored Poké Balls or Electrode.
There is also a subspecies called Giant Bytan.
