The Ancient Minister is, in fact, not the one behind the Subspace Emissary, and is not a boss either. Everytime R.O.B.s are ordered to activate the [[Subspace Bomb]], the Ancient Minister would leave in despair as he watches his comrades fall. At one point, when [[Samus (SSBB)|Samus]], [[Pikachu (SSBB)|Pikachu]], [[Captain Falcon (SSBB)|Captain Falcon]], [[Pikmin & Olimar (SSBB)|Olimar]], [[Donkey Kong (SSBB)|Donkey Kong]], and [[Diddy Kong (SSBB)|Diddy Kong]] manage to infiltrate the base where dozens of inactive R.O.B.s and [[Subspace Bombs]] are being held, along with a saddened Ancient Minister, a hologram of [[Ganondorf (SSBB)|Ganondorf]] appears, and he orders the R.O.B.s to activate the bombs. Seeing as how he would annihilate all of them, the Ancient Minister protests and attempts to prevent them from following Ganondorf's orders. Seeing this, Ganondorf activates an override which forces the R.O.B.s to attack the Ancient Minister, and vanishes. The Ancient Minister is the leader of the Subspace Army. He is similar in appearance to the race of Ancients in the Paper Mario series, such as Merlon. He is a limbless, possibly robotic entity who floats as if utilizing anti-gravity. Considering the Ancient Minister's appearance and the big role he serves, he is likely that there is more to him than meets the eye.

Everytime R.O.B.s are ordered to activate the Subspace Bomb, the Ancient Minister would leave in despair as he watches his comrades fall.
