The Ancient Minister is, in fact, not the one behind the Subspace Emissary, and is not a boss either. Everytime R.O.B.s are ordered to activate the [[Subspace Bomb]], the Ancient Minister would leave in despair as it watches its comrades fall. The Ancient Minister is the leader of the Subspace Army. It is similar in appearance to the race of Ancients in the Paper Mario series, such as Merlon. It is a limbless, possibly robotic entity who floats as if utilizing anti-gravity. Considering the Ancient Minister's appearance and the big role he serves, it is likely that there is more to him than meets the eye.
