A minecart stage will appear in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It was revealed, apparently unintentionally, on the official Smash Bros. Facebook page on October 5th, 2014. The lone image of the stage was captioned as "Kirby's going for a ride in a mine cart. Well, this situation looks familiar. This stage has some rules that are rare in the Smash Bros. series." The design of the minecart and the reference to Kirby suggests a possible connection to the minecart areas from Kirby Super Star, but the connection is not definite.
