Meta Knight (SSB4)

Meta Knight is a playable veteran character in Super Smash Bros. 4, revealed on August 13th, 2014, being teased before hand on the 11th. Visually, Meta Knight now has gauntlets over his gloves and small battle damage details on his armor to make him less cartoonish, the opposite situation to most character visual changes. Additionally, the top corners of his mask opening are more pointed, with the sides curving inward instead of being straight.

Changes from Brawl

  •   Neutral attack has a finisher.
  •   Dimensional Cape is much stronger.
  •   Forward smash is stronger.
  •   Up smash is stronger.
  •   Meta Knight is larger, making his attacks have more reach and possibly more weight.
    •   His hurtbox is larger.
  •   Drill Rush connects better and is much stronger.
  •   Back throw is stronger and deals 1% more damage.
  •   Mach Tornado has slightly less damage potential.
    •   However, it is much harder to SDI out of.
  •   Forward air deals less damage.
  •   Down throw does less damage.
  •   Forward tilt combo is less damaging.
  •   Meta Knight can no longer glide out of Shuttle Loop.
    •   To compensate, Meta Knight now slashes the opponent twice whilst spinning in a large loop, which deals more damage than brawl.
      •   However it has less KO potential.
  • The following moves are visually unchanged:
