Torchic (アチャモ, Achamo in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
Creature description
Torchic is a small orange chick with very underdeveloped wings and covered all over by a fluffy coat of down. According to the in-game Pokédex entries in each RPG version, it has a flame sac inside its body where it forms and keeps a perpetually burning flame, which makes it a very warm creature to hug. In battle, it uses its flame sac to breathe balls of fire of over 1800 degrees Fahrenheit to leave its foe scorched black. Among Torchic's behavioral tendencies are that it sticks with its trainers, following behind with unsteady steps, and it dislikes darkness because it can't see its surroundings.
Torchic is the Fire type starter Pokemon from the 3rd generation of Pokémon games. It evolves into the more chicken-like Combusken, and then into the strikingly humanoid avian warrior Blaziken.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Torchic is introduced in Brawl as one of many Pokémon that can be summoned using the Poké Ball item. When summoned, it hops up and down using Overheat, the strongest fire attack that also lowers a Pokémon's special attack after use. This attack is similar to Cyndaquil's attack from SSBM, but Torchic can't get KO'ed and the last hit from its Overheat has a stronger knockback. It is also similar to the attacks of Koffing from Super Smash Bros. and Weezing from Super Smash Bros. Melee.
