Ninjara (ニンジャラ, Ninjara) is a character and playable fighter in the Nintendo Switch game ARMS.

Origin[edit]

Ninjara fighting against Min Min on the Ramen Bowl in ARMS.

One of the playable characters in ARMS, Ninjara, also known as "The Student of Stealth", hails from the Rasen Ninjutsu University, also known as Ninja College. As both his name and school would suggest, Ninjara is a ninja himself, with fast-paced, stealthy movement with a special vanishing technique, this technique allowing him to warp out of danger and into a new location to confuse his foes. Ninjara joined the ARMS Grand Prix for his senior project, and he enjoys reading books in his spare time. His grand prix ending depicts him back at Rasen, meditating on top of a bamboo shoot with his arms uncoiled.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

Assist role[edit]

Ninjara in ARMS Rush.

Ninjara is seen in Min Min's Final Smash, ARMS Rush, and unleashes a flurry of punches alongside other characters from ARMS.

According to Masahiro Sakurai, when it came to picking a fighter from the ARMS series, Sakurai was thinking of either Min Min or Ninjara. However, following a request from the game's producer, Kosuke Yabuki, to add Min Min, she was ultimately included as a fighter over Ninjara.

As a background character[edit]

Ninjara appears on the screen in the background of Spring Stadium. He also appeared in Min Min's reveal trailer, swiping the invitation from Ribbon Girl and dodging a volley of punches from the entire base ARMS roster before being knocked out of the air by Master Mummy. He is later seen lying in front of all the knocked out ARMS fighters.

As a costume[edit]

A Mii Brawler in the Ninjara costume.

A Ninjara DLC costume for Mii Brawler was revealed on June 22, 2020, as part of Round 6. Ninjara's Chakrams, his default ARMS, act as the costume's fists.

Spirit[edit]

Ninjara also appears as an Advanced-class support spirit.

Ninjara 's spirit can be summoned using the cores of Shinobu and Shadow Man.

If the player has purchased Min Min, Ninjara can be battled in the ARMS DLC Spirit Board.

Ninjara uses a Greninja puppet fighter and is fought on the Suzaku Castle stage. If the player has already purchased the Ninjara DLC costume, Ninjara will use a Mii Brawler puppet fighter wearing the Ninjara Mask and Outfit instead. During the battle, the puppet fighter will have increased move speed, referencing Ninjara's high stats, and the Boomerang item will appear, referencing Ninjara's Chakram ARMS.
