The Hero is the name given to the protagonists from the Dragon Quest franchise.
Origin
The Hero is comprised of the Luminary from Dragon Quest XI, Erdrick from Dragon Quest III, Solo from Dragon Quest IV, and Hero from Dragon Quest VIII.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
During the E3 Nintendo Direct the Hero was confirmed to be included into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC Fighter alongside Banjo & Kazooie. The Hero is planned to be released during summer 2019.
Trivia
- The Hero is the second playable third-party character owned by Square Enix, the first being Cloud.
- He is the first playable third-party character whose alternate costumes replace his model with a different character
- Out of the four Heroes, only Dragon Quest VIII's hero is without an official name.
