The feature returns in Super Smash Bros. 4. During a match, when the player pauses the game, camera options will be displayed, allowing the player to switch cameras between participants, zoom in and out, pan across the battle field, rotate the camera, and take snapshots using the shoulder buttons (L or R on the 3DS version or ZR (Wii U GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller, Classic Controller), Z (Controller, Wii Remote + Nunchuk), or A (Wii Remote) on the Wii U Version). Snapshots will be stored in the Album section of the Vault, located in Games & More, where they can be moved to player-created albums, commented upon, and deleted. Snapshots can be taken during most modes, excluding Home-Run Contest, Training,  Target Blast, Multi-Man Brawl, and Wi-Fi matches. Snapshots can still be taken from Wi-Fi matches. In the Wii U version, photos can only be taken if an SD card is inserted into the console.

Album is a mode included in the Vault where players can see their stored snapshots they have taken from matches or other modes. To take a photo in Brawl, the player must pause during a fight and press the Z button on the GameCube controller and Nunchuk, the ZR button on the Classic Controller, or the A button on the Wii Remote to take the photo, much like Camera Mode in Melee.

The player can also take photos in the Subspace Emissary mode, as well as most other modes, but not during cutscenes, Home-Run Contest, Training, Target Smash/Test, Multi-Man Brawl, or Wi-Fi matches. However, the player can still take snapshots from replays of WiFi matches.

Players can also take pictures of trophies that have been arranged in the Trophy Hoard or Sticker Centre, and could send them to friends via WiiConnect24. For some reason, snapshots usually cost more coins to share than anything else.

The feature returns in Super Smash Bros. 4. During a match, when the player pauses the game, camera options will be displayed, allowing the player to switch cameras between participants, zoom in and out, pan across the battle field, rotate the camera, and take snapshots using the shoulder buttons (L or R on the 3DS version or ZR (Wii U GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller, Classic Controller), Z (GameCube Controller, Wii Remote + Nunchuk), or A (Wii Remote) on the Wii U Version).

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there is no in-game Album, but screenshots can be saved to Nintendo Switch system's memory with the Capture Button.
