Wii Fit Trainer Weighs In!
—Introduction Tagline

The Wii Fit Trainer (Wii Fit トレーナー, Wii Fit Trainer) is a new playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4, revealed during E3 2013 after the initial reveal trailers.[1] She originates from the Wii Fit series of games, and uses "healthy moves" based on fitness exercises. She is a fast and agile character.

Wii Fit Trainer's Final Smash is Wii Fit, where she strikes a yoga pose and sends out a wave of multicolored yoga images out that KO opponents. Her physical attacks mainly involve hand attacks and kicks, and her smash attacks all involve her pulling various Yoga poses. The Wii Fit Trainer is also able to crawl and wall jump.

On October 31, 2013 (the release date for the trial version of Wii Fit U), a male version of Wii Fit Trainer was shown[2], which was later confirmed in the April 8th, 2014 Super Smash Bros. Direct to be an alternate costume of the Wii Fit Trainer. There are no gameplay differences between the two, with both of them even being the same size.

Moveset

Normal Attacks

  • Jab: Performs the Sideways Leg Lift, which transitions to the Lunge on the third hit. The first hit deals 3% and can hit backwards, dealing 2% but has lots more knockback. The second hit does 2%, and the third hit deals 3% damage, and is able to bury opponents. [1]
  • Dash attack: Performs the Gate pose. 6%.

Tilt Attacks

  • Forward tilt: Performs the Dancer pose. Hitting with the Trainer's leg will launch the opponent vertically. 9%, moderate knockback.
  • Up tilt: Performs the Triangle pose. 8%.
  • Down tilt: Performs the Bridge pose. 12%, high knockback.

Smash Attacks

  • Side Smash: Performs the Warrior yoga pose. 15% uncharged, 21% fully charged. Strikes in both directions, but the backwards hit may miss smaller characters.
  • Up Smash: Performs the Tree yoga pose. Has no horizontal hitbox, but has good vertical range and gives the Trainer some invincibility frames during the move's startup. 15% uncharged, 21% fully charged. A sweetspot, which inflicts 18% uncharged, is located at the Trainer's fingertips.
  • Down Smash: Performs the Arm & Leg Lift exercise. Very high horizontal knockback. 10% uncharged, 14% fully charged.

Aerial Attacks

  • Neutral aerial: Performs the Jackknife pose. Hits twice and has little to no landing lag. The first hit does 5% and the second hit does 9%.
  • Forward aerial: Performs the Single Leg Extension pose. The leg part can meteor smash.
  • Back aerial: Performs a Cobra pose behind her. Has sex kick properties; can KO reliably if the attack connects during its first few frames.
  • Up aerial: Performs the Half-Moon pose.
  • Down aerial: Performs the Chair pose. Can meteor smash.

Throws

  • Pummel: Squeezes the opponent.
  • Forward throw: Serves the opponent like a volleyball.
  • Up throw: Hits the opponent upwards, as if the Trainer is setting a volleyball. At very high percents, this throw can KO.
  • Back throw: Throws the opponent behind the legs, then kicks him/her.
  • Down throw: Throws the opponent toward the ground, between the Trainer's legs.

Other attacks

Special Moves

In Super Smash Bros. 4, special moves can be swapped out for different variants, but only a few of the Wii Fit Trainer's have been seen. These are the Wii Fit Trainer's special moves:

  • Neutral Special: Sun Salutation; this attack is a powerful, savable projectile attack.
  • Side Special: Header; the move consists of the Trainer pulling out a soccer ball and headbutts it at a downward angle. The headbutt part can meteor smash.
  • Up Special: Super Hoop; a recovery move that entails the Trainer hula-hooping skyward. Applies damage to opponents hit.
  • Down Special: Deep Breathing; this attack raises the Trainer's other attacks' power.

Trophies

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS trophy descriptions

Wii Fit Trainer's regular trophy can be obtained by completing Classic Mode with her and her alternative trophy can be obtained by completing All-Star mode with her.

Wii Fit Trainer
NA: The female trainer who helps you in the Wii Fit series. She favors a fighting style composed of yoga poses. This makes her a capable close-quarters fighter, but she has ranged attacks as well. She also has a move called Deep Breathing, which can heal you and increase attack power if timed right.
PAL: You can choose one of two Trainers to help whip you into shape - or better yet, whip everyone else into shape! Use all sorts of yoga poses and exercises to get fit and flexible, and inflict serious damage on the other fighters in the process! Or try some deep-breathing drills to increase power and defence. It's all good!
Wii Fit Trainer (Alt.)
The male trainer from the Wii Fit series, his neutral special Sun Salutation charges up a ball of light that, when launched, will heal him a bit. His Jackknife pose is excellent for toning the abdominal muscles, but in Smash Bros. the Wii Fit Trainer uses it as an air attack. Timed right, the attack can hit twice!
