Gulpin (ゴクリン, Gokurin, Gokulin) is a fictional creature from the Pokémon series. It appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

When summoned, Gulpin will stay in place. If an opponent should come within range of it, Gulpin will open its mouth wide and swallow them. The player will receive damage for the time he/she is stuck inside Gulpin's mouth. Other players can inflict damage to the opponent inside by hitting the Pokémon. The trapped character will be abruptly spat out in a few seconds. Gulpin can be escaped early by button mashing If one climber is swallowed while playing as the Ice Climbers, the player's control will move over to the other climber until the swallowed one is released.

Gulpin

A Stomach Pokémon. While it's a carefree Pokémon with a loveable face, it can swallow something the size of itself in one gulp. Its stomach is filled with gastric juices strong enough to dissolve whatever it eats. As it matures, it can learn Wring Out, which is as strong as the remaining strength of the opponent Pokémon. It evolves into Swalot.

Glitch

If a character is swallowed by Gulpin while Captain Falcon uses his Final Smash, Blue Falcon, on another character besides the one swallowed by Gulpin, Gulpin will disappear and the character that was swallowed by Gulpin will be seen in their T-Stance during the duration of Blue Falcon.
