Though Zelda has been confirmed to appear as a playable character, no official evidence of Sheik's return has yet been presented by Nintendo. However, Shiek, along with Ganondorf, are known to have had models sent to Masahiro Sakurai by Eiji Aonuma, director of the Legend of Zelda series, but it is unknown what they will be used for, if at all. Zelda's Down Special Move in Brawl has not yet been confirmed as Transform, the move that she used in Melee to transform into Sheik. Also, recently updated on the Dojo, if Kirby uses his neutral B special, Inhale, to copy Zelda's ability, Kirby gets a hat reminiscent of Zelda's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time attire, which may be a factor in proving Sheik's playability (as Sheik only appeared in Ocarina of Time).
