—Introduction Tagline

Corrin (カムイ, Kamui) is an upcoming character and newcomer in Super Smash Bros. 4 as the sixth downloadable character. Corrin was announced alongside Bayonetta during the Super Smash Bros. - Final Video Presentation on December 15th, 2015, and both will be released sometime in February 2016. Like the Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and Robin, players can select either male and female variants of Corrin as like in Fire Emblem Fates.

Attributes

Ground attacks

  • Neutral attack: Corrin pokes the opponent with a Dragon Fang, slashes them upwards with his sword, and performs a turning outward slash to finish the combo. If the rapid-jab was initiated, Corrin then transforms his free arm into a draconic mouth that repeatedly bites the opponent until finishing with a final bite.
  • Dash attack: Corrin spins forward in a corkscrew-like manner. Functions like a drill attack in that it deals multiple hits.
  • Forward tilt: Corrin swings his sword downwards akin to a Mii Swordfighter's forward tilt.
  • Up tilt: Corrin performs a twirling upwards slash with his sword, similar to Shulk's up tilt but with less range.
  • Down tilt: Corrin slashes Omega Yato across the ground, similar to Ike's down tilt.

Smash attacks

  • Forward smash: Corrin extends his arm into a spear with Dragon Fang and stabs opponents away. Has tremendous reach, can be angled, the tip is the most powerful part, and holds Omega Yato while charging to repeatedly cut his opponent with the chainsaw blades.
  • Up smash: Corrin crouches and transforms his arms into Dragon Fangs, pointing them upward to launch opponents. The tips are the most powerful parts.
  • Down smash: Corrin transforms one of his legs into a Dragon Fang, then launches opponents on both sides with his sword and Dragon Fang leg. Animation is similar to the Mii Brawler's down smash, and the tip of Corrin's leg is very powerful if struck with.

Aerial attacks

  • Neutral aerial: Corrin slashes with the Omega Yato from above to behind him and uses Dragon Fang to slash in front of him with his transformed arm.
  • Forward aerial: Corrin slashes forward with the Omega Yato, similar to Marth's, Roy's, and Lucina's forward aerials respectively.
  • Back aerial: Corrin sprouts dragon wings and uses them to attack behind him. Can be used for recoveries as it propels Corrin forward like R.O.B.'s back aerial.
  • Up aerial: Corrin swipes with his sword above him, closely resembling Marth's, Roy's, Lucina's, and Robin's up aerials respectively (especially the former three's).
  • Down aerial: Corrin's legs morph into spears with Dragon Fang as he zooms downward feet first. A stall-then-fall that hits multiple times.

Throws

  • Pummel: Corrin hits his opponent with Omega Yato's hilt, similar to Shulk's pummel.
  • Forward throw: Corrin transforms his arm and stabs his opponent with it, knocking them upwards away from him.
  • Back throw: Corrin places his opponent behind him and stabs them upwards with his transformed arm, knocking them away from him.
  • Up throw: Corrin lifts his opponent above him and assumes his dragon form, headbutting them skyward and reverting back to human form.
  • Down throw: Corrin throws his opponent on the ground and assumes his dragon form, body-slamming them and reverting back to human form.

Get up attacks

Floor

  • Back: Corrin swipes Omega Yato outward from front to back as he gets up.
