Yuri Kozukata is a character from the Fatal Frame series. She is the central protagonist of the fifth game in the series, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Yuri is set to make her Smash Bros. debut as an Assist Trophy in Ultimate. When summoned, she aims her Camera Obscura at fighters and takes a picture; the flash will momentarily stun the fighters, leaving them vulnerable, and give them an effect that continues to damage the fighter, even after she disappears.
Origin
Yuri is the central protagonist of Maiden of the Black Water, the fifth main entry in the Fatal Frame franchise. She's a 19-year-old teenager who survived a car accident that killed her whole family; because of the accident, she developed a "Sixth Sense." This ability allows her to see ghosts. Throughout the game, she helps the other protagonists in solving strange cases around Mt. Hikami, a notoriously haunted location in the outskirts of Japan. Yuri is led to Mt. Hikami by her sixth sense and travels around the area and back, taking photographs of spirits with her Camera Obscura, a specialized camera that can take photographs and exorcise ghosts. In the good ending, she lifts a curse from the main antagonist of the story, Ouse Kurosawa, and ends up on a warm beach with Hisoka Kurosawa, while in the bad ending, she jumps off a cliff along with Ouse.

Trivia
- In the NA and EU versions of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, two of Yuri's bikini costumes were replaced with outfits of Zelda and Zero Suit Samus.
