Template:StagePokemon Dialga(ディアルガ,Diaruga) is a legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl

Creature description

Dialga is a massive, powerful dinosauric quadruped. It has a long neck, tail, and thick set of legs with sharp, metal-like claws. It has many silver protrusions resembling spikes along the back of its neck, on its head, on its top rear, and on its chest. Lodged into the chest protrusions is a glowing blue, diamond-like jewel. Running along its body are light blue lines that fluctuate into diamond shapes. In Pokémon Battle Revolution, it can be seen that Dialga's underbelly is reflective like a mirror.

Dialga is described in the Pokedex as an ancient deity of the Sinnoh region with the ability to control time. It is part of the Legendary Dragon duo, along with Palkia. According to Sinnoh-region lore, it was created by Arceus, at which point time began to flow. It is also said that time flows when Dialga's heart beats.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Dialga appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as a stage Pokémon and a hazard. It appears on the Spear Pillar stage along with Palkia. During play, it can use 5 different abilities.

  • Collapsing one of the three sections of the floor (left, middle, or right)
  • Creating a beam over a portion of the stage vertically, or horizontally through the lower section of the stage
  • Jumping off of the pedestal to the center of the stage, roaring, and emitting reddish light that damages players that touch it with high knockback.
  • Rotating the stage partially, but does not actually influence items like a real slope (i.e., a rolling crate would not roll)
  • Slowing down or speeding up gameplay (like in Special Brawls)

Trophy Description

Dialga
A Temporal Pokémon. This Legendary Pokémon is talked about as a deity in fables passed down through generations in the Sinnoh region. Identifiable by the diamondlike crystal in the center of its chest, Dialga is said to have set time in motion at the moment of its birth. Its fearsome Roar of Time attack is so powerful that it must refrain from attacking on its next turn.
