Character description

In Super Smash Bros.

Main Article: Yoshi (SSB)

Yoshi makes his first appearance in a fighting game in the original Super Smash Bros. as a starting playable character. Yoshi's lack of a third jump makes him a turn off, generally towards beginner smashers. However, even with the lack of a third jump, Yoshi's midair jump is sufficient enough to give Yoshi great recovery distance. Not only that, but there is the fact that during this midair jump, Yoshi cannot be knocked back. These facts alone gives Yoshi, arguably, the best recovery in the game.
