Banjo (バンジョー, Banjo) is a nobody that nobody knows or cares about.

Origin

Banjo is a really stupid brown bear who loves honey and, as his name suggests, playing his banjo. He is generally selfish, desiring to steal spotlight from red birds, and he never helps those in need. If you want a real generous animal character to look up to and idolize like we do here at the Wiki, check out the unrelated Kazooie instead.

Banjo chronologically first appeared in Diddy Kong Racing, but everyone knows that. He's such a terrible person in this game, such a spotlight-stealer. Good thing he never got a 3D platforming action-adventure "collectathon" game alongside some other character to accompany him and do everything for him, while he would get all the credit for it! That'd have been terrible...

In the Super Smash Bros. series

Banjo will never be in Smash, guys. Get over it. Never gonna happen. After all, he'd probably have the worst moveset in the game - slow, predictable and terrible at recovery, while being a lower-heavyweight with no zoning options, Banjo would be stupidly stupid if he was ever playable.
