Zero Suit Samus represents Jade, as both are skilled martial artists with feminine figures; the tiny King Dedede represents Rab, a rotund man who wields heavy wands similar to Dedede's hammer. Finally, Ike represents Hendrik, a heavily-armored man who can wield greatswords similar to Ike's Ragnell.

Slimes are able to morph together into a single large Slime, which is what the giant Kirby represents. The first area of most Dragon Quest games (where Slimes are likely to appear) are grassy plains, represented by Gaur Plains.

Trivia

• Prior to the informational video about Hero, images of Dragon Quest spirits were accidentally leaked through the Smash World spirit team database.
• The Hero's Comrades spirit battle has the most different fighters of any spirit battle, with seven.
• Tockles is the first (and so far, the only) spirit to be a part of a universe introduced via DLC, but to be released at a later date than that of the DLC itself.
  • Tockles is additionally the first (and so far, the only) spirit to be retroactively added to a DLC Spirit Board.
