Ice Climber (Brawl)
  • The red Ridley puppet fighter represents the Condor, the red winged-beast who snatches the Ice Climbers' vegetables.
  • The stage, music, and Ice Floor hazard represent the Summit taking place on top of an icy mountain in Ice Climber. This is also referenced by the peak of the frozen mountain where the Condor's spirit is located in World of Light.
  • The battle conditions reference the Ice Climbers' goal to grab the Condor at the peak of each mountain before time runs out.

  • The Freezie item likely references to the sliding ice that repairs the gaps made in the platforms.
  • The battle conditions and the puppet fighter's frequent use of Instadrop reference to the Polar Bears being powerful enemies whose stomps causes the screen to move upwards.
  • In World of Light, the Polar Bear spirit must be defeated to access the Ice Climbers fighter, which references both the Polar Bear and the Ice Climbers appearing in the titular game.

Series Order[edit]

Number Name Series
606 Ice Climbers Ice Climber Series
607 Condor
608 Polar Bear
609 Eggplant

  • Ice Climber, R.O.B. and Final Fantasy are the only universes to have no primary spirits.
  • Ice Climber, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, EarthBound and Pac-Man are the only series represented by a fighter to use in-game sprite art for their spirits.
    • Ice Climber is also the only one of these in which all of its spirits are in-game sprites (not counting the Ice Climbers' alternate spirit artwork).
  • Despite the Polar Bear having hand-drawn artwork on the Famicom/PAL boxart of Ice Climber, it still uses its in-game sprite for its spirit picture, instead.
  • Oddly, despite there only being one Ice Climber game (outside of ports and re-releases), it is referred to as a series.
  • Both Ice Climber spirits found in World of Light are found in the Realm of Light making them all associated solely with Galeem and not Dharkon in any fashion.
    • Combined with Ice Climbers themselves found in the Realm of Light, no Ice Climber fighter or spirit is found under Dharkon's control.
