The 2023 Smash 64 Power Rankings is a rankings list compiled by Andykins, Big Red, box, Darkhorse, Dogs_Johnson, Dr. Sauce, Fray, Huntsman, Josh Brody, KrisKringle, Pokehero, Shihman, and SotoH.

Methodology

Qualifying players must have attended at least two of the qualified tournaments listed, including a majors (or similarly notable regionals) that was played on the NTSC-U version of the game. The expection to this rule was if a player only attended Super Smash Con 2022, given they had played in at least 8 sets during the event. For players who only attended one non-Super Smash Con event (or did not meet the Super Smash Con qualification), they were excluded from the rankings. To remedy this, a "Hidden Bosses" section was created, listing 8 players who likely would have qualified had they attended an additional event. The panelists then ranked qualifying players from #1 to #64, including a few additional players who just missed the cut into the "Expansion Pak".

Trivia

• Isai's rank marks the first time since the inception of the rankings that a player from the United States has been ranked 1st, as well as the first time a North American player has been ranked 1st since SuPeRbOoMfAn in 2018.
• Similar to his ranking on the 2021-2022 iteration, Shears's place of residence was his car "(2012 Chevy Cruze, USA)", due to him traveling around the United States.
