Ascension is an Arizona tournament series organized by SAK Gaming. The series started in 2019 and primarily runs Super Smash Bros. Ultimate events, though other games, including Super Smash Bros. Melee, was also featured. The original series began as a monthly series and quickly became the largest monthly series in the Southwest, its events frequently surpassing 200 entrants and regularly reaching C tier or higher on the PGRU. The series' frequency of events, as well as its attendance size, declined during the post-pandemic metagame, and its original series concluded after Ascension: November. The series was revived 2 years later with Ascension, and events have been ran at a quarterly basis.
