From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Ataru, formerly alice (アリス), is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Roy player from Kansai. He is considered one of the best Roy players in the post-pandemic metagame and the best Roy player in Japan for most of that era, especially after HIKARU's retirement. He broke out in late-2021 due to his performances in the Smash World Tour 2021 circuit, qualifying for the championships after finishing 5th at Japan's offline qualifier and taking a set off Sonix at the championships. He made his top 100 debut the following year and has since been ranked on every UltRank ranking, reaching a peak of 29th on the LumiRank 2024.2. He has achieved numerous top 8 major results throughout his career; his best performances include his runner-up performance at Sumabato SP 68, where he took a set off Doramigi, and three supermajors where he placed 7th. In addition to Roy, Ataru also frequently plays Kazuya and is considered one of the best Kazuya players in Japan, notably using the character to defeat Hurt at Kowloon 12 with Kagaribi.
