SimCity is a long-running series of open-ended world-simulation games,. The first version for a Nintendo console was the SNES video game (simply called SimCity) which starred Dr. Wright, a Nintendo-owned character who would not appear again until Super Smash Bros. Melee. Later Nintendo versions included two Japanese-only Nintendo 64 games - the 64DD-only SimCity 64 and a cartridge-based port of the PC game SimCity 2000; the Wii game SimCity Creator and two Nintendo DS games, SimCity DS and SimCity DS 2 (known as SimCity Creator) outside of Japan).

In the Super Smash Bros. series

Dr. Wright appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and as both an Assist Trophy and conventional trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Dr. Wright

The assistant to the mayor of SimCity, Dr. Wright was actually named after the creator of the game. As a player, you'd have to use your wisdom and experience to give timely advice to the mayor; if you did a good job, the city prospered. Dr. Wright is one of the leaders in the all-time, bizarre Nintendo-game-hairstyle contest.

Dr. Wright

A hardworking assistant to the city mayor. He has distinctive hair and spectacles and a dapper moustache. Dr. Wright has a comprehensive knowledge of city government and is happy to give you tips to keep your city running smoothly. In the game, he tracks your city's status and gives you gifts. There was a character reminiscent of him in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
