The Miiverse stage's green and white color scheme resembles the interface and color scheme of the social network greatly. In addition, the concept of drawings appearing on the stage is based on - and made possible by - the ability to post drawings or handwritten text on Miiverse using the GamePad or 3DS bottom screen.

The Miiverse universe refers to the Super Smash Bros. series's collection of stages and properties originating from the Miiverse social network.

Franchise description

Miiverse originated as an app for the Wii U in 2012 alongside the console's launch. Users could (and still can) use the app to make, "Yeah" (like), and flag posts and comments, follow and befriend other users. Later, it was made available on the 3DS and web browsers, with largely similar features.

In Super Smash Bros. 4

The Miiverse universe is represented by a single stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
