ClashMania 2026 was a Super Smash Bros. Melee regional and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major held in Rennes, Brittany, France from September 4th-6th, 2026.
Tournament Summary[edit]
Thanks to a strong international presence, Clashmania 2026 would become the second French major of the year. Notable international entrants included MkLeo, Chag and MKBigBoss from Mexico, Umeki and Raru from Japan, and Peruvian hidden boss ErickB. ErickB would have a breakout performance as the 19th seed to place 9th. After defeating RyuKai, Luugi would send him into losers where he beat Grand-Radiateur and Noko' before bowing out to Umeki.
Upset wise, the tournament was relatively light, as #3 seed Luugi was the only top 8 seed to miss out on top 8, losing to Glutonny and Raflow. #9 seed Umeki lost to crêpe salée, who then proceeded to beat Glutonny before losing to Raru for 4th as the highest placing European. Raru would also go on a strong run, redeeming his underwhelming 13th place finish at Maesuma'GRAND WARS 3. After losing to Leo in winner's semis, he beat Raflow, crêpe salée, and Peabnut before finally losing to MkLeo 3-2 in grands.
The event was most notable for MkLeo's run. As the #1 seed, he only dropped 2 games to Peabnut in winner's finals en route to his third major grand finals in a row. Against him, he pulled out his famous Byleth in a reverse 3-0, the first time that he had beaten him, before finally finishing with his Aegis against Raru. Once again, this tied MkLeo's major count with acola's, and added even more strength to his case for top 10 for the whole year.
