The SSBBRank 2025 is a list compiled by the Brawl Central community that ranks the world's top 20 Super Smash Bros. Brawl players in 2025.

Methodology

Returning SSBB Rank 2024 Ranking Panel members Ashley and Lux were named Co-Chairs of the SSBB Rank 2025 Ranking Panel after former Ranking Panel Chair Ninja1167 stepped down. Additional members of the Brawl community were given the opportunity to apply to join the panel. Candidates were chosen based on balancing inclusivity to make the rankings a broader community discussion while protecting the legitimacy of the project with applicants screened for contribution to the community. Through these applications, the panel added Blueprint, FRiSK, Hinkage, and Quackus as members.

In contrast to previous years, a Tournament Tiering System was not used. Instead, the panel tracked all of the events with players from previous years rankings attending via Start.GG, keeping track of placings and head to head matchups throughout the year. Tournaments with multiple ranked candidates were highlighted for panelists to review, but information for all events for the year were available to the panelists.

After a debrief on the results collected for the season, the panelists each formed a ballot of whom they believed should be ranked based on the results collected combined with their own judgments on how to best rank the field. After all ballots were received, the panelists had extensive discussions on where there was universal agreement, specific outliers, or a split of opinion, with the goal to achieve as much agreement as possible via deliberation. If deliberation did not bring a sentiment of agreement, impasses were resolved by a majority vote of panelists. As part of adding broader context to various rankings, panelists have been given the opportunity to present an alternative narrative to particular final rankings for which they have a dissenting opinion.
