Nintendogs is a real-time pet simulation franchise developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. It was originally released in three different versions: Dachshund & Friends, Lab & Friends, and Chihuahua & Friends. It has been re-released twice since then, first as a bundled release with a special edition Nintendo DS with a new version called Nintendogs: Best Friends, and then again as Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends.
Another version, Nintendogs + Cats, became a launch title for the Nintendo 3DS.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Labrador Retriever appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as an Assist Trophy, which playfully blocks the screen in an attempt to "play" with the player. The Shiba Inu, a Welsh Corgi, and a Miniature Daschund appear as stickers, and the Labrador Retriever appears as a trophy.
