Deku Nut

The Deku Nut is an item from The Legend of Zelda series. These small items may look like food, but are actually a throwable item. Once thrown at an enemy, it will stun them for a brief moment. Deku Nuts are from the Nintendo 64 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

In Melee

In Ocarina of Time, Sheik's disappearance was accompanied with the familiar flash and crack of a thrown Deku Nut. Sheik uses Deku Nuts for the Vanish move.

==In Brawl The Deku Nut is a type of explosive in Brawl. It is a powerful tool that should be used if at all possible (Computer players will grab it at first chance). If hit by it directly it explodes like a Bomb-omb, doing relativly high damage and has a fantastic knockback. It is possible to be hit indirectly by a Deku Nut too. By thowing a Deku Nut short, it explodes in a flash of light. Any player around the blast site will become dazed (as if they had Shield Break). If the Deku Nut is left alone for to long it will start to expand and shrink rapidly. After a set time it will explode, dazing all around it.
