Devil Fist is an example of a move with the Fist-Down effect.

Fist-Down (known internally as fist_down, fist_down2, and fist_down3 in Ultimate) is a set of attack effects used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They are exclusive to Kazuya. The effects cause the target to be covered in electricity and then crumple to the ground. Each effect causes the crumple animation to play out differently:

  • (1) causes the target to be motionless for 30 frames (0.5 seconds), then move at half speed for 25 frames (0.41667 seconds), and then return them to normal speed.
  • (2) causes the target to move at half speed for 38 frames (0.6333 seconds) and then return them to normal speed.
  • (3) causes the target to move at half speed for 16 frames (0.2667 seconds) and then return them to normal speed.

In all cases, hitting an opponent with a Fist-Down attack while they are already crumpling will stop the crumpling and act as if they were hit by a normal attack (with the exception of still being covered in electricity).

Trivia[edit]

  • The motionless and slow-down duration of Fist-Down (1) is individually assigned for every character, however they all have the same values of 30 and 25 frames respectively. The only exceptions are the Fighting Mii Team with a motionless duration of 10 frames (0.1667 seconds) and Giga Bowser with a motionless duration of 10 frames and a slow down duration of 40 frames (0.667 seconds), however he is immune to the effect making the changes pointless.
