Mother Series 30th Anniversary (SMAAAASH!! MOTHER30周年, SMAAAASH!! MOTHER 30th Anniversary) was a Spirit Board event focused on spirits from the EarthBound series. It ran from 6 a.m. on July 26, 2019 to 6 a.m. on July 30, 2019 (UTC). During the event, defeating spirits on the Spirit Board which were part of the event awarded more Gold than usual.

Spirits from the Mother (a.k.a. EarthBound) series are coming to the Spirit Board in this event! Defeat them in battle to earn more gold than usual.

Legend-class spirits Ninten, Paula, Claus, Jeff, Hinawa, and Ness's Father will each appear every two hours. SMAAAASH!!

Trivia

• The event's description references one of the lines seen during the battle against Giygas in EarthBound, "You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas's attacks!", as well as the "SMAAAASH!!" effect seen throughout the EarthBound series. The latter is also present in the event's Japanese title.
