Chikorita (チコリータ, Chikorīta, Chicorita in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Chikorita is a small green Pokémon and it resembles a small green reptile. Chikorita has a row a seeds around it's neck which creates the appearance of a necklace. The most notable feature of Chikorita is the giant leaf on it's head. The leaf is used to suck in sun rays and used for Chikorita's grass attacks.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

Chikorita makes its debut in Super Smash Brothers Melee with its signature attack, Razor Leaf. Chikorita will start shaking its head and send out a barrage of leaves from its head-leaf. The projectiles travel in a straight line. Any opponent that makes contact with the leaves will take damage; the summoner cannot be harmed. Chikorita's attack is rather brief and easily avoided. However, once caught in the line of attack, it is rather difficult to get out.

As a trophy

Chikorita features as a collectible trophy, unlocked as one of the 100+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches. It reads as follows:
