How to Unlock[edit]
Complete one of the following:
- Play VS. matches.
- Clear Classic Mode with Ryu at a higher difficulty.
Attributes[edit]
Chun-Li is an average-sized semi-heavyweight fighter with the same high dash speed as Captain Falcon and higher jumps. Like Ryu, she possesses a mix of combo-based moves and finishing moves with very high knockback and emulates his unique controls.
Moveset[edit]
- Much like Ryu and Ken, she has command inputs that will make her Special Moves stronger and retains the tap/held mechanic.
- She can wall jump.
- Almost all of her moves are kick-based, which are more stronger than the punches.
- She shares her special-cancelling mechanic with Ryu and Ken.
- A small flash will appear whenever Chun-Li does the input command version of one of her Special Attacks instead of the standard B input.
- In one-on-one matches, Chun-Li always faces her opponent.

Special moves[edit]
| Special move | Name | Description | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard special move | Kikoken (気功拳," Qigong Fist") | Chun-Li fires a blue projectile from the palm of her right hand. While not as strong as Ryu's, it still deals decent amount of knockback and damage. Only one Kikoken will be used, as using it again will result in a puff of smoke. Holding down the Special button increases the damage and speed a bit. Using the original command input (↓ ↘ → + attack/special) increases the speed and distance of the move while dealing stronger damage, it also alters the animation too, in which she will use both hands instead. | 6.2% (tap), 7% (held), 7.7% (input) |
| Side special move | Spinning Bird Kick (スピニングバードキック, "Spinning Bird Kick") | Chun-Li performs a handstand and twirls upside down with her doing a helicopter kick while moving forward. The move deals multiple hits, like Ken's Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku, but the difference between this and that is that this one deals more damage, but has a startup lag. Depending on the size of the character, they can duck down to avoid the move. The tapped version travels in a shorter distance and deals once, the held version travels a little further and deals 3 hits, the input version (hold ← at least 24 frames before using it) deals more hits and travels in a larger length. When using in the air, she will do a split before starting the move, having less startup lag than on the ground. | 3.4% (tap, ground, hits 1-2), 3.9% (held, ground, hits 1-4), 4.2% (input, ground, hits 1-6) 3.2% (tap, air, hit 1), 3.6% (held, air, hits 1-3), 3.9% (input, air, hits 1-5) |
| Up special move | Tenshokyaku (天昇脚, "Ascension/Heaven Rising Legs") | Chun-Li leaps upwards and kicks while spinning repeatedly. It has a stronger recovery move than the Shoryuken, but is not that strong. If ↓ is held for at least 24 frames before performing the up special input, the move will deal more hits and damage while having slashing trails. | 2.5% (tap, hits 1-2), 3.6% (held, hits 1-3), 3.8% (input, hits 1-5) |
| Down special move | Hazanshu (覇山蹴, "Supreme Mountain Kick") | Chun-Li somersaults forward with one of her legs outstretched, slamming it into the ground as she lands. If used in the air, the tip leg can meteor smash any opponent at high percentage, as well as having high shield damage. The tapped version barely has any distance, the held version knocks the opponent down to the ground while having a decent distance, and the input version (↓ ↙ ← + attack/special) increases knockback and shield damage. | 10% (tap), 12.7% (held), 14.4% (input) |
| Final Smash | Kokosho / Senretsukyaku / Shichisei Senku Kyaku | Much like Ryu and Ken, she two Final Smashses, time not only three of them, but the damage dealt where switched. If she is at point-blank range, she will unleash a stationary concussive blast of ki with rippling effects from both hands called Kikosho (気功掌, "Qigong Palm"), dealing multiple hits and a good chunck of damage with decent knockback at the end. The range of the move is the same as Ryu's Shinku Hadoken. If she is at any other range, she will perform the Senretsukyaku (千裂脚, "Thousand Rending Legs"), where will attempt to attack her opponent with a dashing kick, if done, she will perform a Hyakuretsukyaku before ending with a reverse thrust kick. The move will have a orange backdrop if the enemy has high enough knockback, since it deals high vertical knockback. If she performs the move in the air though, she will do Shichisei Senkuu Kyaku (七星閃空脚, "Big Dipper/Seven Star Flashing Air Leg"), a dashing side kick that if it hits the opponent, the screen will focus on her, before showing the kanji for the attack on screen (as Chun-Li calls it out), and the screen flashes, launching the opponent with high damage. | 1.5% (per hit), 10% (explosion) 3% (flurry, per kick), 10% (final kick) 5% (flying kick), 35% (flash) |
