Suicune (スイクン, Suikun in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Suicune made his debut in Pokémon Gold & Silver. Along with Entei and Raikou, the player can find Suicune in the Burned Tower. Once the player meets these legendary beasts, they will run off into the wild. The only way a player can find a Suicune is to pursue it in areas with wild Pokémon. Suicune appears as the mascot in Pokémon Crystal. The player can encounter Suicune in the Tin Tower in this game. Suicune also appears in the third generation games. In Pokémon FireRed & Leafgreen, he can be found roaming the wild once the player triggers an event on the Sevii Islands. However, the player must have chosen Charmander as their starter in order to find Suicune. Suicune can only be obtained in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl through trading with the third generation games.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee

Suicune

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

Suicune is treated as a "legendary" Poké Ball Pokémon; its chance of appearing is much rarer than most of the others, and in return its effect is more powerful. Suicune uses Icy Wind as its attack. A cloud of icy wind surrounds Suicune. Any character that makes contact with the cloud of wind will take damage. A heavily damaged character may also freeze if contact is made. Suicune is a legendary Pokémon so its appearance is rare. Suicune's attacks do not harm the summoner.

As a trophy

Suicune features as a collectible trophy, unlocked as one of the 100+ trophies that can be collected randomly during normal play, such as in the Trophy Lottery and throughout the various Single-player Regular Matches. It reads as follows:

Suicune
This mystical aurora Pokémon constantly journeys in search of places with pure flowing water. Suicune wields the power to instantly purify any contaminated water it finds. Some say Suicune is the north wind reborn. Its strange and dramatic story is told over the course of the Crystal version of the Pokémon game. (Pokémon Gold & Silver 10/00)

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Suicune returns to the Smash Bros. series. Unlike some returning Pokemon, Suicune has been given a new attack, which acts as a powerful strike or possible a beam, to a enemy in front of it. The actual name of the attack though is still unknown.
