Santa Paws was a Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate superregional held in Montgomery, Alabama, from December 8th-10th, 2023. As the name implies, the tournament was also a charity event, with donations going towards animal shelters.
Following the dropout of two sponsors, a raffle was announced in order to recoup the losses.[1] Every entry into the raffle also contributed to a tier goal system, with each tier being 1,000 entries. Ultimately, over 4,000 raffle tickets were sold (surpassing tier 4), allowing the tournament to run normally.[2]

Trivia[edit]
- Despite retiring several months prior, this tournament marked Professor Pro's final overall tournament, as he had already committed to entering Melee singles beforehand.
- He also finished the tournament as the UK's highest placing player, outplacing fellow countryman Frenzy (who placed 9th).
- During Melee singles, KoDoRiN competed using Marth's white-themed costume and the in-game tag "KCM" (fulfilling a donation incentive from the first KoDonation Charity Monthly, his own charity-themed event).[3]
