quiK (also known as quiKsilver) is a Smasher from Lorsch, Germany. With a career spanning over a decade, he is considered one of the greatest German Smashers of all time.
He made his debut in Smash with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where he played Zero Suit Samus. He was considered the best Zero Suit Samus player in Europe and one of the best Brawl German players, having placed highly at several Brawl in Berlin events, most notably being the runner-up at SUPER Brawl in Berlin, an event where he defeated both Mr.R and Leon. Internationally, he is best known for placing 9th at Sun Rise Tournament. Due to his strong regional performances in the game's final years, he was eventually ranked 58th on the inaugural SSBBRank. In addition, quiK was also known for having a competent Samus that he used in low tier events. Alongside Brawl, he also played Super Smash Bros. Melee, playing Samus; although he received less recognition compared to in Brawl, at his peak in the mid-2010s, he was considered one of Germany's best players.
quiK continued to play Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where he was in a similar position as he was in Brawl, being considered one of the best Zero Suit Samus players in Europe as well as one of the best players in Germany, frequently ranking right below cyve, Germany's best Smash 4 player. He placed top 8 at several sizeable European events, most notably winning ICARUS III and placing 5th at SALT and 7th at Syndicate 2017. Internationally, quiK was known for his run at Mega Smash Mondays 100, where he defeated Raito and Samsora to finish 13th; outside of that performance, he also defeated tyroy at Midwest Mayhem 11. Though he was never recognized by the PGR, the alternate rankings OrionRank ranked him in the top 100 in the final 2 years of the game's lifespan, peaking at 70th on the OrionRank 2017. In Europe, he was ranked 6th on the European Smash 4 Power Rankings during the same time period.
Upon Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's release, quiK switched Samus and became one of the first notable Samus players in competitive play, being the the runner-up at Syndicate 2019, Ultimate WANTED 2, and Valhalla III, being one of the few Europeans to defeat Glutonny at a PGRU-ranked event during this time, and having several noteworthy international performances such as a win over Salem at 2GG: Prime Saga and KEN at 2GG: Kongo Saga. As such, he was considered the 2nd-best player in Europe and the best Samus player in the early metagame; though he was never ranked on the PGRU during this time, he was ranked 37th on the full-year ranking OrionRank 2019. In the post-pandemic metagame, quiK was outpaced by other Samus players during the character's rise in the early years of the metagame, and eventually became less active after 2023. However, he remained one of the best Samus players during these early years, remaining in Europe's top 10 in 2022 and 2023, and achieving his highest major performance at King Of Fields 95 3, where he finished 3rd after defeating Kurama.
On May 25th 2017, quiK got sponsored by Beefy Smash Doods. Nearly a year later, on April 13th, 2018, quiK, along with fellow smashers Elegant, Aarvark, and Izaw, parted ways with Beefy Smash Doods.[1]
