Villager (むらびと, Murabito) has been confirmed to be a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. 4. He is shown to be able to use moves such as floating with balloons, collecting projectiles, and attacking with a slingshot, axe, bowling ball, potted tree, and fireworks.

Villager can bury opponents with his shovel attack.

Villager's dash attack

• Catching an opponent in a net. Possibly a Grab.
• Tapping a shovel on the ground; buries opponents. A possible down smash.
• Falls forward while holding a potted plant. A possible dash attack.
• Uses two balloons to fly Balloon Fight-style. A possible Up Special Move.
• Leans forward and drops a bowling ball on the ground. A possible Down Special Move.
• Catching projectiles and stowing them away. A possible Neutral Special Move.
• Creating and chopping down a tree; the tree hits opponents as it falls. A possible Side Special Move.
• Using boxing gloves. A possible Neutral Attack.
• Uses a slingshot in mid-air. A possible Aerial attack.
• Uses fireworks. A possible Up Smash.
