The Screw Attack (スクリューアタック, Sukuryu Atakku) item alters a character's first and second jumps, changing them to mimic Samus Aran's Up Special Move (for which the item is named). If thrown at an enemy, they will be knocked upwards in a Screw Attack, dragging any nearby opponents (even the thrower) into the attack. They then fall down as if they had used a recovery move. Many players use this in a sort of Pseudo-combo with a constantly damaging Up-B attack, most notably Samus' Up- B of the same name.

Many players use this in a sort of Pseudo-combo with a constantly damaging Up-B attack, most notably Samus' Up- B of the same name.
