You know how articles with unofficial titles have a The icon used on pages with unofficial titles. in their top right corner while featured articles have a Featured.png? Well, I just had the idea to put similar icons in articles that denote the article's game(s) of focus. So Mario (SSB) would have a SSB64 Icon.png, wavedash would have a SSBM Icon.png, Cracker Launcher would have a SSBB Icon.png, Green Greens would have both the SSBM and SSBB icons, and so on. I've seen this kind of system in use on other wikis to differentiate content from different areas without having to be so explicit about it in the page content (for example: the Star Wars wiki, Wookiepedia, uses it to show what era in the timeline an article's content is from). Would this idea have any merit here? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Chilled 16:25, 8 June 2011 (EDT)

I'd be up for this. Miles (talk) 14:28, 9 June 2011 (EDT)
Seems like a good idea. Unknown the Hedgehog 14:46, 9 June 2011 (EDT)
I'll support, but we never resolved this issue. Is it just an issue with my browser of do these templates need to be adjusted? DoctorPain99 DoctorPain99.png 14:49, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

To catch any browser problems right now, I've added the proof of concept to this page. removed to avoid accidental categorization Toomai Glittershine ??? The Honcho 15:35, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

This appears to be working better than the oversized unofficial lingo template we have right now. DoctorPain99 DoctorPain99.png 15:46, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Not much else to say other than I support this idea. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:12, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Alright then, it's been implemented as {{ArticleIcons}}. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Bold 11:21, 14 June 2011 (EDT)

Still to be done

This is as of a couple of hours ago, for the record - it took me a while to parse out the ones that have been {{ArticleIcons}}ed already and give them a cursory sort. Note that a lot of these need an |unofficial=y even if they don't have the old template. - Reboot (talk) 13:19, 27 June 2011 (EDT)
