Knuckles the Echidna

Knuckles the Echidna (ナックルズ・ザ・エキドゥナ, Nakkurusu za Ekiduna) is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series who is from Angel Island. He first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, tricked by Dr. Eggman that Sonic was evil and was trying to steal the Master Emerald. Since being tricked, he did all he possibly could to slow Sonic's journey down. Since then he has realized that Sonic was the ally, and they have become friends, but they often have rivalries and often fight it out.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Knuckles, like Tails and Silver the Hedgehog, appears in the Green Hill Zone background. Just like many other characters in the Sonic series, Knuckles appears as a Sticker that Sonic can use and a Trophy in the game.
Trophy Description
A powerful red echidna also known by his full name, Knuckles the Echidna. Knuckles resides on Angel Island, where he guards the Master Emerald. Both friend and rival of Sonic, Knuckles is a martial-arts expert who can fly through the air.
