New Challengers 1 is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The player must choose a character and take on the first set of newcomers to the Super Smash Bros. series.

Progression

This event is unlocked by clearing Duck Hunt! and unlocking Lucina. Completing the event unlocks the up and down paths.

• Up path: Leads to Kirby's Crazy Appetite.
• Down path: Awards the Warrior trophy. Leads to Enough with the Kidnapping.

Clearing the event on normal or hard difficulty awards a Legendary Sword equipment.
