Advent of the Evil King is the 33rd event match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The player fights as Ganondorf against Link, Pit, and Zelda. You must KO your opponents once to win. You also get two lives.
Clearing this event on Hard difficulty unlocks the Great Temple/Temple CD.
Description
As Ganondorf, defeat Link, Zelda, and Pit on the Hyrule Temple stage. Ganondorf has two stocks while the three opponents have one each.
Strategies
- If the player is at high damage, the bottom of the stage will be helpful to avoid an easy KO.
- Try separating them for an easier fight.
- Even on Hard difficulty, the CPU's will sometimes walk straight into a Warlock Punch.
- You can use the Ganoncide technique here to score an easy KO and get one of the competitors away fast. Just lure them towards the edge and strike. Don't try to use it to win though!
- Try to gather all of the enemies in a group and do damage. Dodge their attacks for a long period of time and use Smash/Strong Attacks. The best places to do this are the tunnels and the area with the ledges. On your 2nd life, lure one person at a time to the top of the stage, and Warlock Punch them. If they have 60+ damage, it should KO them. Keep in mind that you can change the direction of the Warlock Punch in mid-punch!
