The San Diego Power Rankings, abbreviated SDPR, is a leaderboard compiled by a pre-selected panel which lists the most powerful players of the SoCal subregion of San Diego for the game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. All official updates to the SDPR are posted on the San Diego Smash Ultimate X account.
Q3 2025[edit]

This is the SDPR for Q3 of 2025. The results were released officially on October 22nd, 2025. Driv:r secures the #1 rank again with their consistent performance both in and out of region. Exia bursts back onto the leaderboard at 2nd thanks to great results out of region. Abe cannot keep up with Exia's explosive performance and falls outside of the top 2 for the first time since Q4 of 2023. Pyro is still able to maintain a solid rank 4 despite moving out of region. Merks sees a slight dip in results and tournament attendance and falls to 5th. CorbinsCustoms performs well enough at enough tournaments to rejoin the PR at 6th. Newcomer Pac-Man main Gros Michel, who was ranked #1 in Singapore, is able to achieve rank 7 despite only competing in San Diego for a few months. Due to a lack of tournament attendance, $$$ falls to 8th, and Woomaster and Pawp are absent, notably Pawp, who was ranked on every iteration of the PR since Q2 of 2023. M9 is also absent due to inconsistent tournament results.

This is the SDPR for Q2 of 2025. The results were released internally in the San Diego Smash Ultimate Discord server by Cody on July 11th, 2025, and were released officially through a repost of X user kusaribruh on July 22nd. Driv:r, Abe, Pyro and M9 maintain their respective ranks. Merks returns to the SDPR, seeing his highest rank at 3rd thanks to great tournament results in Mexico. $$$ returns to form getting 4th. Newcomer Mewtwo and Min Min player Woomaster is ranked at 6th thanks to great tournament results in central California. Pawp drops to 8th due to inconsistent tournament results, and SilentYoshi, Exia and always are absent due to insufficient tournament attendance.

This is the SDPR for Q1 of 2025. Although the results were released internally on the SD Smash Ultimate Discord server by Cody on April 1st, 2025, they were not released officially until June 8th due to delays in creating an SDPR graphic. Driv:r takes the #1 rank over Abe for the first time. SilentYoshi is ranked on a PR for the first time at rank 3. Exia (formerly McRat) remains at rank 4 by maintaining his consistent results. Pyro sees some return to form, jumping up by 2 ranks to rank 5. Groggy and $$$ are absent due to insufficient San Diego tournament attendance and inconsistent tournament results respectively, and newcomer Mii Brawler main M9 joins the SDPR at rank 7.

This is the SDPR for Q4 of 2024. It was released officially on January 17th, 2025. Due to a large gap in results between 8th place to 9th and 10th place, this and subsequent SDPR's were reduced to a top 8. Abe maintains his #1 rank. Driv:r trails just behind Abe at rank 2. Mexican Sonic main Groggy invades San Diego by taking the #3 rank for himself. McRat skyrockets up by 5 ranks thanks to his consistent performance. Pyro cannot replicate his solid performance from last quarter and drops by 4 ranks to rank 7. AC, Shangrai, Bashluv and CorbinsCustoms are absent due to insufficient tournament attendance, and San Diego veteran and Incineroar main always is ranked for the first time at rank 8.

This is the SDPR for Q3 of 2024. It was released officially on November 16th, 2024. Abe takes the #1 rank for the first time. CorbinsCustoms returns to the SDPR, getting an impressive rank 2 after various top 3 finishes and upsets over Ignaize. Viridian is absent from the SDPR due to insufficient tournament attendance. Driv:r keeps up their consistent results by holding onto rank 4. Pyro and Pawp jump up 6 and 3 ranks respectively after solid performances overall. AC, Bashluv and Shangrai drop in rankings due to declining tournament attendance, and newcomer R.O.B. main McRat joins the SDPR at rank 9.

This is the SDPR for Q2 of 2024. It was released officially on September 2nd, 2024. AC returns to form by taking back the #1 rank. Quinn is absent due to insufficient tournament attendance. Abe maintains his #2 ranking. Viridian continues to demonstrate his dominance by claiming the #3 ranking. Driv:r jumps up to rank 4 with their solid performance overall. Shangrai returns to the SDPR after a short hiatus by being ranked 6th. $$$ sees a good improvement by jumping up 3 ranks, and San Diego veteran and Samus main Son is ranked on the SDPR for the first time at rank 10.

This is the SDPR for Q1 of 2024. It was released officially on April 19th, 2024. Quinn returns to the SDPR after a quarter long hiatus with his best performance in San Diego yet, claiming the #1 rank for himself. Abe is ranked above AC for the first time at 2nd. San Diego veteran and Young Link main Viridian, who was ranked as an honorable mention in the past, sees a burst of success getting ranked as 4th. Bashluv falters slightly to the new talents, dropping to 5th. Newcomer Driv:r is ranked for the first time at 7th after competing for less than half a year and using a variety of Fire Emblem characters. DCA gives one last hurrah to San Diego claiming the 8th rank for himself before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. $$$ drops to 10th after an inconsistent quarter, and Shangrai, Loi, KALi and Merks are absent due to insufficient San Diego tournament attendance.

This is the SDPR for Q4 of 2023. Note that a Q3 2023 PR was never released due to the reorganization of the SDPR panel members at the time. Chase is excluded from the SDPR after having no tournament attendance in San Diego. AC and Bashluv maintain their consistent performances by holding on to their #1 and #3 ranks respectively. Shangrai sees his best performance in San Diego yet, securing the #2 rank for himself. Abe can't quite keep up with the top 3's talents, falling to 4th. San Diego veteran and Zelda main $$$, formerly Solaris, who was ranked on the SDPR in the past as an honorable mention, gets his first official jumpstart on the SDPR by claiming the #5 rank. Pawp sees a small improvement climbing up 2 ranks to rank 6. Loi and KALi return to the SDPR performing well enough at San Diego tournaments to secure themselves rank 7 and 9 respectively. Merks drops to rank 10 due to inconsistent tournament results, and Quinn and CorbinsCustoms are absent due to insufficient tournament attendance.

This is the SDPR for Q2 of 2023. It was officially released on July 25th, 2023. Chase maintains his faux rank 0. AC also maintains his #1 rank. Cebolla, no longer present on the SDPR, ends his dominance in San Diego after moving to New Hampshire. Quinn achieves near identical results to Abe and shares the #2 rank with him as rank "2.5." A great performance overall allows Bashluv to jump up 3 ranks to rank 3. Shangrai and CorbinsCustoms see small improvements being ranked at 4th and 5th respectively. Merks returns to the SDPR after a quarter long hiatus at rank 6, his best rank yet. Newcomers Incineroar main Pyro and Bayonetta main Pawp are ranked for the first time at 7th and 8th respectively, and MG3, pu55yk1ng and Nomex are unable to make it onto the SDPR.
